On Wednesday, 26 November, at the invitation of His Grace Bishop IRENEI of London and Western Europe (ROCOR) and Fr Justin, priest of the Parish of St John of Shanghai Belfast, faithful from our community joined that parish in welcoming to Belfast the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos.
With the blessing of our Metropolitan, His Eminence SILOUAN, and His Grace Bishop IRENEI, Fr Dmitry concelebrated with Fr Justin, Fr Robert, and Fr Stanislav in the paraklesis (moleben) service with the Akathist Hymn to the Most Holy Mother of God, prayed before her wonderworking icon.
It was a beautiful service, followed by warm fellowship, during which everyone present had the opportunity to venerate this revered icon and spend time in prayer before the Most Holy Theotokos.
