On the weekend of 17–18 January, we held our usual monthly divine services.
On Saturday, 17 January, we celebrated Great Vespers, followed by informal fellowship in the church kitchen.
On Sunday, we celebrated Orthros and the Divine Liturgy. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, we served the Great Blessing of the Waters, which is traditionally celebrated in the Orthodox Church on the Feast of Theophany. With the blessing of our Metropolitan Silouan, this service was offered at our parish on the 18th of January in order to provide the Holy Water for the faithful for the year ahead. The services were followed by a parish lunch and time for fellowship.
